The beach is rather flat, like almost all along the west coast, but nevertheless well suitable for bathing. Two small islands, Ko Suwan and Ko Rom are located at the southern end of Khlong Prao Beach.

The road runs almost everywhere in suitable distance from the beach and accommodation.

In the village Baan Klong Prao in the middle of Klong Prao Beach, there are shops, restaurants and gas stations. Also in Baan Klong Prao , about 100 metres from the road you can find a small clinic.

In the south of Klong Prao Beach, directly on the road, you find the Klong Prao Internet , that offers - beside fast satellite-internet-connection, a variety of tours on and around Ko Chang. 2.5 kilometres away from the northern end of the beach, towards Kai Bae Beach, is the road to the most popular and well-known waterfall on the island, Khlong Plu Waterfall.

Arrival & Departure: Klong Prao Beach can be reached from the piers in approximately 30 minutes by taxi for 40 Baht. If you have advanced bookings you should tell the taxi driver the name of the resort or the hotel, otherwise you can get the driver to stop anywhere you want by knocking on the car-body. The departure times of the taxis to Dan-Kao-Pier are subject to seasonal change, so check in advance.
