Rock Climbing
More than 200 routes have developed since the late
1980's when Krabi first witnessed the sight of people scaling it's
craggy mountains.
Routes include high quality limestone, steep, pocketed walls, overhangs
and hanging stalactites, with some accessed by boat belay, others
involving jungle walk approaches or abseils into the sea.

Sea Kayaking
Krabi provides a perfect environment for kayaking. A coastline
composed of small coves, caves and islands, and an interior with rivers
lined with fascinating cave systems. Enjoy the breath-taking beauty and uncanny peace of a voyage among the mangroves, caves and limestone massifs of Ao Tahlehn Bay and Koh Hong Island In Krabi, and Tahm Pee Hua Toh (Big Headed Ghost) Cave in Ao Luk District. There are options of rental from hour to half -day or day trips into the spectacular and remote mangrove channels, Ao Tha Lane and Ao Luk, where you can see monkeys, otters and many beautiful birds. |

Bird Watching
Bird-watching is especially good from January Till April in the mangrove forests surrounding Kanab Nam Hill near Krabi Town. Many rare birds are to be seen there: Gurneys, Finfoots, Bigwinged Brown Kingfishers, Egrets, Bitterns, Herons and more. Another excellent birdwatching sight is Khao Nor Chuchi Forest Preserve, com-monly known as Tung Tiao, in Klong Tom district, a low-land forest populated by the nearly extinct and only recently re-discovered black-breasted Pitta Gurney.

Sailing & Cruising
Explore and discover some of the hidden secrets of this area by
chartering a boat to cruise around the islands. The water clarity
is near crystal around the islands off Krabi and the Phi Phi Islands
are a must-see port of call.
Anchorages here are plentiful, usually deserted and always beautiful.
Even in the southwest monsoon season the calm, protected waters
in fascinating Phang Nga Bay provide the ultimate in boating enjoyment,
even for the least experienced of sailors. There are many charter
sailing boats available and some even offer "join-in" day trips
for two or more people.
